Abstract:
This intake air control device comprises the following: a passage member (10), a throttle body (20), a throttle valve (30), an electric motor (40), and a power transmission mechanism (50). The throttle body (20) has a metal cylindrical portion (21) that demarcates a throttle bore, and a flange part (22) that positions and holds the cylindrical portion and the electric motor on one side and the power transmission mechanism on the other side. A heat conducting member (60) is provided so as to be interposed between the electric motor and the cylindrical portion. The passage member (10) is made of resin and includes an insertion opening for inserting, from a direction that transects an air in-take passage, an assembly (A) that includes the cylindrical portion of the throttle body, the heat conducting member and the electric motor, and a receiving chamber for surrounding and receiving the assembly inserted through the insertion opening. With this arrangement, heat generated by the electric motor can be effectively utilized to reliably prevent ice from forming around the throttle valve.
