Abstract:
[Problem] To supply power efficiently via a variable-speed drive device in an intake air cooling system used in a gas turbine for supplying motive power to a refrigerant compressor in a natural gas liquefaction plant. [Solution] An intake air cooling system 1 equipped with: an intake air cooler 11 that cools intake air in a gas turbine 4; one or more refrigerator motors 26, 33, 51, 55 used in a refrigerator 12 that cools a liquid coolant supplied to the intake air cooler 11; a variable-speed drive device 14 that supplies power to each refrigerator motor; and a generator 13 driven by the gas turbine 4. The generator is electrically connected to the first variable-speed drive device 14, and power generated by the generator 13 can be supplied to each refrigerator motor from the variable-speed drive device 14 without passing through a power system bus line 35.
