Abstract:
An intake and exhaust device 1 which is for a vehicle engine 2 and is configured to enable a compression self-ignition operation, is provided with a supercharger 9 on an intake passage and driven by a force other than that of exhaust gas, wherein an exhaust gas purifying device 18 disposed on an exhaust passage is disposed adjacent to the outer surface of the engine 2.
