The present invention relates to an integral duplex lifting device and a method for using same. The device comprises a scaffold body, a lifting track, and a duplex device; the lifting track is vertically arranged along a building outer wall and is fixedly connected to an embedded hanging seat; the duplex device is detachably installed at the bottom of the lifting track; the scaffold body is positionally limited on the lifting track and can slide in the extending direction of the lifting track; the duplex device comprises a base, a vertical rod, and a top support which are sequentially and fixedly connected from bottom to top; the base is detachably connected to a building structure floor; at least two bracing components are provided on the vertical rod; the bracing components are detachably connected to the lifting track; the upper surface of the top support is detachably connected to the embedded hanging seat, and the side surface of the top support is detachably connected to the lifting track. When the length of the lifting track does not meet floor construction, the duplex device is connected to the tail end of the lifting track, to provide conditions for continuous lifting of the scaffold body.
