Abstract:
An integrated hub motor and a control method thereof. The motor includes a motor shaft (4) and a stator (12) fixed on it. A rotor housing (10) is provided around the stator (12). The front and back sides of the rotor housing (10) are rotatablely mounted on the motor shaft (4) by rotor end caps (8, 14) and bearings (6, 19). The two ends of the motor shaft (4) are extended out of the rotor end caps (8, 14) to form a short end and a long end. A bearing cap (1) is mounted on the outside of the rotor end cap (8) and covers the short end of the motor shaft (4). A bearing cap shaft (26) is provided on the center of the bearing cap (1) and projected out of the center of the bearing cap (1). The bearing cap shaft (26) is projected toward the direction of the motor shaft (4). Position detection devices (3) are provided on the corresponding positions of the end of the motor shaft (4) and the bearing cap shaft (26). A servo controller (11) is mounted around the motor shaft (4). The position detection devices (3) detect the rotation of the bearing cap shaft (26) and then transmit a detected signal to the servo controller (11). A rotation angle or position of the rotor is obtained through the process of the servo controller (11) so as to accurately control the motor. The motor has advantages of simple structure, energy-saving，excellent starting characteristic, small size and high efficiency.
