Abstract:
A charging method and a charger (300, 400, 500). The method comprises: the charger (300, 400, 500) determining, according to an identifier of a terminal, a charging protocol supported by the terminal (S102); the charger (300, 400, 500) determining the current scene according to the identifier of the terminal (S103); the charger (300, 400, 500) determining a charging policy according to the current scene, the remaining power and the supported charging protocol (S104); and the charger (300, 400, 500) charging the terminal according to the charging policy (S105). It can be seen therefrom that, by means of implementing the technical solution, a charging policy can be determined according to the current scene, the remaining power and the supported charging protocol, and the terminal is charged according to the policy, wherein the policy includes a fast charge period and a slow charge period, thereby ensuring successful charging and prolonging the lifetime of a battery.
