Provided in the present application is an intelligent dome camera, at least comprising a chip, a pan-tilt system and a dome camera mainboard; the chip comprises dome camera lens, and the azimuth of the dome camera lens changes with the horizontal rotation of the chip; the pan-tilt system is used for driving the chip to rotate in horizontal direction under the control of the dome camera mainboard; the intelligent dome camera further comprises an electronic compass, wherein the electronic compass measures and obtains magnetic field data and/or acceleration data in a specified direction, and sends the magnetic field data and/or the acceleration data to the dome camera mainboard; the dome camera mainboard determines the direction of arctic pole according to the received magnetic field data from the electronic compass, and/or determines vibration amplitudes in a specified direction of the intelligent dome camera according to the received acceleration data from the electronic compass. Corresponding monitoring system and control method are also provided in the present application. The intelligent dome camera provided in the present application enables determining the state parameters about directions and/or vibration amplitudes automatically.
