Abstract:
Disclosed are an intelligent earth leakage breaker and a control method for same. The intelligent earth leakage breaker comprises: a first detection unit which is disposed on a power supply side and detects current generated on the power supply side; a second detection unit which is disposed on a load side and detects current generated on the load side; a power supply unit for supplying power; and a control unit that analyzes the current waveform of the current to differentially detect an earth leakage and noise other than the earth leakage, and that controls the power supply unit to shut off the supply of the power when the earth leakage is detected, and maintain the supply of the power when the noise is detected. The control unit may: display the current waveform in a two-dimensional graph composed of an X-axis and a Y-axis; set a first condition on the X-axis, and a second condition on the Y-axis, for differentiating between the earth leakage and the noise; determine that the earth leakage has been detected when the first condition and the second condition are both met; and determine that the noise has been detected when only one of the first condition or the second condition is met.
