Abstract:
This inter-mode loss difference compensator is provided with: a first multimode optical fiber and a third multimode optical fiber, through which a plurality of propagation modes propagate in the wavelength of propagating optical signals; and a second multimode optical fiber that has a core and a clad and that is arranged between the first multimode optical fiber and the third multimode optical fiber such that the center axes are aligned, wherein losses in the transmission modes are different between the first multimode optical fiber and the third multimode optical fiber.
