Abstract:
An inter-vehicle distance control device (100) comprises a delay distance calculation unit (103) and a delay distance compensation unit (107). In a traveling scene in which the speed of a leading vehicle LV changes, control is carried out in such a manner that a delay distance Ddelay resulting from a delay in a vehicle speed control unit (12) is calculated, and in consideration of a delay distance compensation vehicle speed command VFF_delay * for compensating for the delay distance Ddelay for a vehicle speed command V * , the actual inter-vehicle distance is made to match a target track Dtrk * to reach, from the initial value of the inter-vehicle distance, a target inter-vehicle distance after acceleration/deceleration of the leading vehicle.
