Description:
INTERCHANGING 2020/019061 r > MULTIFUNCTION-ADAPTABLE URN OR STORAGE Dlspus pcT/CA2019/050957

DESCRIPTION

A base supports each Candlestick Urn, Pillar Candle Holder Urn or Candelabra Urn. Each Candlestick Urn, Pillar Candle Holder Urn or Candelabra Urn has a platform/s or bell/s atop for placement of various taper candles and/or pillar candles. The modular parts that are found between the base and the platform/bell atop are all interchangeable and modular and all parts assemble into each other by various fastening methods but not limited to a threading system, magnetic system, turn and click system, and or interlocking system or any other functioning/locking systems not mentioned herein. All respectable parts are not limited to any shape of construct materials or finishes and they are made up of various hallow or solid shapes. The hallow components contain openings within their walls for storage of cremated human remains, cremated animal remains or storage for other items.

All parts inclusive of the urn display system between the base and the platform/bell atop are interchangeable, modular and stackable.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The urns that are offered in the market today have a direct association with death and therefore bring discomfort into a home. Today’s urns are old fashioned and they portray a morbid“typical” urn image. The market has not focused on the importance of design and the cohabitation of a funeral urn within a home environment. Generally speaking funeral products have not kept up with the design innovations of other home decor products.

These interchangeable and modular“Candlestick Urns, Pillar Candle Holder Urns or Candelabra Urns” (“Urns”) were designed to look natural and beautiful within a home decor and they were crafted out of quality materials to protect a loved one’s remains. The Urns are incorporated into interchangeable and modular candlesticks, candle pillar holders or candelabras because candlesticks and candelabras have a natural place in our everyday life. Candlesticks, candle pillar holders and candelabras offer the comfort of light. Candlelight represents something different to everyone; comfort, hope, a vigil, prayer or a celebration in memory of our loved one.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The invention of a“Candlestick Urn, Pillar Candle Holder Urn or Candelabra Urn” (“Urn”) were designed so that no one would know that it was a funeral urn. These modern classic Urns can be personalized due to the invention’s modular parts that are found between the base and the platform/bell atop are all interchangeable and modular and all parts assemble into each other by various fastening methods but not limited to a threading system, magnetic system, turn and click system, and or interlocking system or any other functioning/locking systems not mentioned herein. All respectable parts are not limited to any shape of construct materials or finishes and they are made up of various hallow or solid shapes. The hallow components contain openings within their walls for storage of cremated human remains, cremated animal remains or storage for other items.

The Urns are modular and can be configurable anywhere between the base and the platform/bell atop where taper candles or pillar candles may be lit in memory, vigil, prayer or celebration of a loved one.

Candlesticks, candle pillar holders and candelabras are found in various rooms in a residential home or a commercial space. They offer decore elements to each space and provide a warmth of light when the candles are lit. However, the candlestick, pillar candle holder and candelabra of the present invention is modified to incorporate interchangeable modular parts. Some parts within the design are hollow and these parts allow for storage of cremated human or animal ashes or other items. These candlesticks, candle pillar holders and candelabras can hold single or multiple urns and the urns can be placed anywhere between the other various interchangeable and modular parts tlWO 2020/019061 ndlestick, pillar candle holder and candelabra, respectively. PCT/CA2019/050957

The vision behind creating this invention was to create a beautiful urn that would hold the remains of a loved one in a respectable manner. These Urns can be displayed anywhere in a home or a commercial space without anyone knowing that it is a funeral urn. This invention came to light as current funeral urns are portrayed as morbid and tacky.

In addition to burning a candle atop of a candlestick, pillar candle holder and candelabra, which is often used in itself as a spiritual experience, the invention enhances the memorial effect since the spiritual experience of the burning of the candle is associated with the memorial of the storage of the cremation ashes. The candle can therefore be burned at suitable occasions for example as an anniversary memorial providing the combination or synergistic effect of the memorial of the cremation ashes with the spiritual effect of the burning of the candle. Or during regular family traditional holidays throughout the year or other gatherings such as birthdays.

Another application of this invention, though this invention is not limited to such application, is to allow for urn display component to be utilized in another manner, such as but not limited to storing personal items.
