Title:
INTERCOOLER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/107882
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An intercooler for cooling a supercharged air intake by performing a heat exchange between a cooling medium and the supercharged air intake supercharged in an engine (1) by a supercharger is equipped with a heat exchanger (23) for performing a heat exchange between the cooling medium flowing through the interior of a passage tube (21), and the supercharged air intake flowing along the outside of the passage tube (21). As the cooling medium, a first cooling medium and a second cooling medium which is warmer than the first cooling medium are used. A first cooling-medium channel (211) through which the first cooling medium flows and a second cooling-medium channel (212) through which the second cooling medium flows are formed inside the passage tube (21). The passage tube (21) has: a first U-turn section (213) for causing the flow of the first cooling medium flowing through the first cooling-medium channel (211) to make a U-turn, and a second U-turn section (214) for causing the flow of the second cooling medium flowing through the second cooling-medium channel (212) to make a U-turn.
