Abstract:
Provided is an interest determination device that is capable of determining a subject person's interest in a subject article under a given environment. An image acquisition unit (2) acquires an image in which at least the eyes of a subject person is captured. A subject article identification unit (4), using the acquired image, identifies a subject article present in a gaze direction of the subject person. An incident light quantity calculation unit (6), using the acquired image, calculates an incident light quantity that represents the quantity of light incident on the eyes of the subject person. A reference pupil size determination unit (8) determines a reference pupil size on the basis of the calculated incident light quantity. A pupil size calculation unit (10), using the acquired image, calculates the pupil size of the subject person. An interest determination unit (12) determines the subject person's interest in the subject article by comparing the determined reference pupil size with the calculated pupil size.
