The present application provides an interface display method and an electronic device. During the process of a user operating an application, a system can quickly display interfaces of a current application opened in the past, and support the user to quickly view and/or open one or more historical interfaces of the application, thus bringing convenience to users and improving user experience. The method can be applied to an electronic device having a display screen, and comprises: displaying a first interface, the first interface being a running interface of a target application; receiving a first user operation, the first user operation being a user operation on the first interface; and in response to the first user operation, displaying a second interface, the second interface comprising at least two historical interface cards, and each history interface card being used for opening a historical interface corresponding to the target application.
