Abstract:
An interior finishing panel assembly having reinforced base end portion of a
door part and an air bag device having the interior finishing panel assembly.
When an inflator (63) is operated, an air bag (62) starts inflation. When the air
bag (62) presses the door part (44) from the rear side, the door part is broken at
tear lines (41 to 43) and the door part is started to open while rotating to an indoor
side. A rib (45) is provided on the base end side of the door part (44) to reinforce
the base end side. An opening (58) may be formed at a joining part between a hinge
part (53) and a flap part (51), and the rib (45A) may be extended long so that one
end side of the rib (45A) can be inserted into the opening (58). An extension piece
(59) extending from the flap part (51) to the hinge part (53) may be secured to the
base end of the door part (44) by vibration welding.
