Abstract:
An interlayer-separating liquid with which glass plates can be separated from an interlayer in a short time to make the glass plates and the interlayer recyclable; and a method of interlayer separation. Into a liquid tank (22) is introduced an interlayer-separating liquid (21) which contains a surfactant, has a surface tension of 45 N/m or lower, e.g., 35 N/m, and contains insoluble vegetable fibers, e.g., bran or rice bran, in an amount of 5 wt.% or smaller, e.g., 0.1 wt.%, based on the whole. A laminated glass (10) in which the glass plates (11) and (12) have been crushed is introduced through a lid part (23a) into a barrel vessel (23). Square metal pieces (25) (separation acceleration member) having a size of 30 mm × 30 mm which are made of a metal having a higher specific gravity than the glass are introduced in a number of 50-300 through the lid part (23a) into the barrel vessel (23). The barrel vessel (23) into which the laminated glass (10) and metal pieces (25) have been introduced is sunk in the interlayer-separating liquid (21) inside the liquid tank (22) to thereby immerse the laminated glass (10) in the interlayer-separating liquid (21). The barrel vessel (23) is rotated at a given rotational speed.
