Title:
INTERMITTENT GAS-TURBINE ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/097178
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used for various types of engines. The inventive engine comprises an input diffuser, a fan and a compressor which are connected to combustion chambers and, subsequently to turbine nozzles, and fuel supply, ignition, cooling, regulating and control systems. Said invention is characterised in that the engine comprises at least two combustion chambers whose inlet openings lead to input valves on one side thereof and whose outlet openings arranged on the other side thereof lead to sufficiently long exhaust pipes which are connected to each other at a point equispaced from the inlet openings of the combustion chambers. In their turn, said exhaust pipes are connected to a sufficiently long discharge outlet which is connected to the gas turbine nozzle. Said invention makes it possible to simplify the structural design of the gas turbine engine by developing efficient compressorless engines and to increase the performance factor of the gas turbine air-injection engine.
