Abstract:
Provided is art with which it is possible to detect the state of an internal combustion engine with high reliability and high accuracy. An internal combustion engine control device for controlling an internal combustion engine having a configuration in which some exhaust gas from a cylinder is isolated and then cooled by a cooler, after which the same is mixed with intake air via an exhaust gas recirculation valve and supplied to said cylinder, said internal combustion engine control device comprising: a first differential pressure sensor that is installed so as to bridge the exhaust gas recirculation valve, and detects the difference between an upstream pressure and a downstream pressure of the exhaust gas recirculation valve as a recirculation valve differential pressure; a control unit that controls the exhaust gas recirculation valve; and a diagnosis execution unit that causes the control unit to close the exhaust gas recirculation valve, and determines the state of the internal combustion engine on the basis of the recirculation valve differential pressure detected by the first differential pressure sensor in said state.
