Abstract:
Provided are an internal-combustion engine control device and control method with which it is possible to prevent excessive ignition timing retardation while suppressing the occurrence of knocking. This internal-combustion engine control device for controlling an internal-combustion engine is provided with a knock occurrence frequency detecting unit which detects a knock occurrence frequency in a cylinder, and a cylinder wall temperature calculating unit which calculates a wall temperature of the cylinder on the basis of the knock occurrence frequency detected by the knock occurrence frequency detecting unit.
