Abstract:
This internal combustion engine control system comprises: a control unit (20) that controls the combustion state of an internal combustion engine in accordance with a detection value of a temperature sensor (5) that detects the temperature of an object to be detected; a monitoring unit (30) that calculates an estimated torque, which is an estimated value of the actual torque of the internal combustion engine, and an engine required torque required of the internal combustion engine, and that monitors whether or not an abnormal torque state, in which the estimated torque has diverged by at least a prescribed amount from the engine required torque, is in effect; and a detection abnormality determination unit (S30, S41, S61) that determines whether or not the detection value or the behavior of the detection value is abnormal. The monitoring unit has a normal-time torque calculation unit (S38, S51, S71) that calculates the estimated torque using the detection value when the detection abnormality determination unit has not determined there to be any abnormality, and an abnormal-time torque calculation unit (S35, S46, S66) that calculates the estimated torque while prohibiting use of the detection value when the detection abnormality determination unit has determined there to be an abnormality.
