Abstract:
The frequency characteristics of such influences of an output torque calculated with a dynamic model and outputted from a motor as are applied to the rotational fluctuations of a crankshaft, and the amplitude (P) and the phase (θ) at the time of a damping control by the motor are used to calculate (at S110) an influence component (N30m) based on a 30-degree speed (N30), as the time period needed for the crankshaft of every 30 degrees to rotate by 30 degrees. An influence component (T30m) as the inverse of the influence component (N30m) is subtracted from a 30-degree required time period (T30) thereby to calculate a judging required time period (T30j) (at S120 and S130). The deciding required time period (T30j) calculated is compared with a threshold value (Tref) (at S140) to decide a misfire of the engine. As a result, the misfire of the engine for outputting the power to an after stage through a damper can be judged more reliably and precisely.
