Title:
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE IGNITION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/083719
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an internal combustion engine ignition device capable of maintaining stable combustion without increasing an energization time for a main primary coil. An ignition coil 11 is composed of a main primary coil 111a in which a forward magnetic flux occurs when energized by a main switch element 12, a sub-primary coil 111b in which a forward magnetic flux occurs when energized in a first direction and a reverse magnetic flux occurs when energized in a second direction, and a secondary coil 112 on which the magnetic fluxes of the main primary coil 111a and the sub-primary coil 111b act. A sub-primary coil magnetic flux generation state switching unit 5 switches a magnetic flux generation state of the sub-primary coil 111b by controlling the energizing direction and energizing/interrupting timing of the main primary coil 111b. Operating instructions for the main switch element 12 and the sub-primary coil magnetic flux generation state switching unit 5 are provided by ignition control means 31 to adjust discharging energy to be applied to the secondary side and efficiently maintain stable combustion of an internal combustion engine.
