Title:
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE IN WHICH SUCTION AND EXHAUST IS CARRIED OUT WITH THE UPPER PORTION OF PISTON SEPARATED FROM PISTON MAIN BODY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1993/016274
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A reciprocating engine in which a piston is divided into a piston main body portion and a piston upper portion and in which exhaust of waste gas and suction of fuel is carried out while the piston upper portion reciprocates faster than the piston main body portion with only the piston upper portion separated from the piston main body at the end of an explosion stroke. The piston upper portion and piston main body portion are combined with each other again during compression and explosion strokes. Since suction, compression, explosion, and exhaust strokes are each carried out in a strictly distinct manner during one reciprocating motion of the whole piston, it is possible to realize a reciprocating engine of good efficiency.
