Abstract:
An internal combustion engine intake air passageway member (10) comprising a throttle body (110) (intake air passageway main body section) having intake air passageways (111, 121) with a bent (117), and an insulator (120) interposed between the intake air passageway main body section and the internal combustion engine, wherein the intake air passageway (121) of the insulator is extended in the direction of flow of intake air, a portion of the bent (117) of the intake air passageway is formed as the intake air passageway (121) of the insulator, and both air passageways of the intake air passageway main body section and insulator are shaped to allow withdrawal of cores (131, 132, 141, 142). Since the cores can be withdrawn without being damaged, it becomes possible to produce the intake air passageway member by die casting or synthetic resin injection molding. Thereby, an intake air passageway member is provided in which the cores can be withdrawn without being damaged irrespective of the presence of a bend in the intake air passageway, and die casting or synthetic resin injection molding is possible.
