Abstract:
An internal combustion engine intake structure includes a continuous intake passageway 80 configured from an inlet pipe 6 connected to an intake port 42, wherein the intake passageway is partitioned by a partition plate portion 85 into a first intake passageway 80A and a second intake passageway 80B, the partition plate portion 85 in the intake port 42 being integrally molded with a cylinder head 32. In a connection face portion 100 of the cylinder head 32 for the inlet pipe 6, an inlet pipe mount portion 101 is formed for threaded insertion of a fastening member 103. The inlet pipe mount portion is integrally molded with a partition plate portion 85B of the intake port 42. At least a part of the inlet pipe mount portion 101 is positioned on an extension of the partition plate portion 85B traversing the intake port 42 on an upstream-side end face 42a of the intake port 42. This makes it easier to maintain the heat of molten metal during the casting of the region of the partition plate portion 85, in particular, of the cylinder head 32, thereby improving the flowability of the molten metal during casting.
