Description:

INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

The present invention relates to mechanical engineering and power engineering fields and can be used as an internal combustion engine in the automobile industry, electric power stations and etc.

There is known rotary volumetric machine contains vane pistons arranged coaxially in space of housing for periodical engagement with shaft. Flywheel is secured on shaft. The surfaces of rotation of flywheel are provided with rows of internal and external meshing gear sectors. Gear sectors of each row are uniformly spaced over circumference at equal angular pitch, and gear mechanism is made of at least two gears forming a pair and connected with one piston. One of gears is pair is in meshing with gear sectors of internal meshing row, and other gear of pair, with gear sectors of external meshing row. Gear sectors of rows are displaced circumferentially relative to each other through angle pitch value. (Patent RU 2 257 475).

There is known internal combustion engine (Patent GE P 2002 2665), including shaft with rigidly fixed at it gear disk, around which in toothing and on one plane is installed a cylindrical blocks system, where each of the blocks consists of cylinders, radial converging each with other by top parts and revolving on one axis, pistons, contacting with said disk by means of connecting-rod hinged with gear segment.

The disadvantages of indicated devices are their bulking, difficulty in manufacture, exploitation and under repair, and besides the limitation in choice of machine type, where such engine could be installed. The task of present invention is to create the constructively simple device, being able to function as internal combustion engine in any kind of machines.

For solution of the said task, an internal combustion engine, comprising gear link, being gear set, including at least one claw plate with at least one teeth, in cylindrical space of which and rigidly on the block able to rotate around the shaft, is installed cylinder having inside and fixed in space of the tooth the connecting rod with the piston, the tooth itself, by both sides and with the aid of springs, is fixed to the block, more over on the top the springs are limited by the brackets, rigidly fixed to the tooth, which are hinged with the levers, movable installed on the surface of the block, and the valving is made as windows, placed at the base of the block and on the surface of the shaft.

According one of the variants of the internal combustion engine the teeth of claw plate are installed on the block circle, forming cylinder block, and are connected by the levers, hinged on the surface of the block.

According the other variant of internal combustion engine represents the tier of claw plates with parallel axles of the shaft, which are connected with each other by the brackets with the grooves.

In accordance with one more engine making variant, claw plates are installed around the gear disk on the brackets with the grooves. The engine can also be made by installation of claw plates inside the cog-wheel. The given engine can also function as a diesel engine.

Use of the disk in internal combustion engine instead of traditional crankshaft makes possibility to achieve more complete balancing, because in this case there don't take place harmonic displacements of different order (reciprocating motion of an inertial mass of the piston and connecting rod to rotary motion of crankshaft mass). The work of claw plates, being the system of cylinders is continuously to push the disk in direction of rotation, that doesn't have bad effect on identity of work processes, taking a course in engine cylinders.

The engine can have short-run pistons at a big arm of rotational moment. In other words, under the prescribed work regimes of cylindrical- piston system, when changing the only gear disk diameter, the changing of rotational moment becomes repeatedly possible. Two idle strokes for four-stroke engine are carried out outside of teeth contact, what makes possible to increase wear resistance to a great extent.

The self-cooling of the engine excepts the necessity in use "cooling jacket", radiator, fan, liquid pump.

The considerable cutback in quantity of the internal combustion engine elements decreases its mass. Thanks to use of harmonic displacements of the same type and the slider, for the purpose of compression ratio measuring, the procedure of engine work computerizing is simplified, and this gives wide possibilities in the field of machine-building and power engineering.

The given internal engine is explained by the drafts, where in fig.l- is shown the claw plate of the engine with the fragment of the tooth; in fϊg.2 - the tier of claw plates; in fig.3 - location of claw plates around gear disk; in fig.4 - location of claw plates inside the cog-wheel.

The internal combustion engine is provided with frame 1, connected by bearing 2 with the shaft 3, on which is rigidly fixed gear disk 4, around which are located claw plates 5, being in toothing and on one plane. Lead frame 6 with installed cylinder 7, rigidly connected with connecting rod 8 of the piston 9, is located inside of each tooth 10 of claw plates 5. Teeth 10 are connected with each other with the aid of levers 11, movable fixed by fastenings 13 to block surface 12 of claw plate 5 and to spring 14, fixed by one end above window 15 of block 12, but by the other one and fastening 16 to cylinder 7. Claw plates 5 are rigidly connected with each other by brackets 17 with T-shaped grooves 18 by which slider 19 moves in radial direction, and is hinged with the axis of rotation of the shaft 3, on which there are

made windows 21. Gear disk 4 with claw plates 5 can be installed inside cog-wheel.

The engine works in the following way.

The principle of operation by, for example, fig.2, is reduces to the case, that the drawing teeth 10 of claw plate 5 push one another in radial direction to centre of claw plate 5 until the piston strikes position corresponding to top dead center. This moment the electric spark is given and gas mixture blows up, and at the same time pushing piston 9 to lower dead center and thereby pushing tooth 10, that hooking to gear disk 4 (flg.3) and/or cog-wheel 22 (fig.4) sets them in rotation motion. When windows 15 and 21 alignment the process of exhaust emission happens. All claw plates 5 work synchronously, pushing gear disk 4 (and /or cog-wheel 22) in one and the same direction, forming rotary motion of work shaft 3. The claw plates 5 being able to move in radial direction owing to slider 19, hinged with engine axis, makes possible to change the compression ratio in cylinder work chamber, what is considered necessary for diesel engine variant.
