Abstract:
This internal combustion engine (1) is provided with a fuel injection valve (6) that injects a fuel into a combustion chamber (E) at which a swirling flow arises. The injection direction of an injection hole (611H) that injects fuel to a region (E8) of the combustion chamber (E) at which the swirling flow flows upwards while rotating is set to a direction below a baseline direction. The same is true for the injection direction for injection hole (611C), injection hole (611D), and injection hole (611G). The injection direction of an injection hole (611E) that injects fuel to a region (E6) of the combustion chamber (E) at which the swirling flow flows downwards while rotating is set to a direction above a baseline direction. The same is true for the injection direction of injection hole (611A), injection hole (611B), and injection hole (611F).
