Abstract:
The present invention is applied to an internal combustion engine provided with a plurality of compressors that supercharge a mixed gas in an intake air passage, and an exhaust reflux passage that causes part of exhaust to join new air on an upstream side of the plurality of compressors to produce the mixed gas in the intake air passage. The exhaust reflux passage is provided with exhaust reflux branched passages, the number of which is equal to or more than the plurality of compressors. The exhaust reflux branched passages are individually connected to the intake air passage upstream of the plurality of compressors, thereby prompting mixing of the exhaust and the new air. In this way, the exhaust gas concentration in the mixed gas supplied to the plurality of compressors is made uniform, whereby compressor temperature increases are made uniform, and an exhaust gas reflux rate of the internal combustion engine can be increased.
