Title:
INTERNAL COMBUSTION PISTON ENGINE WITH A CRANK-SLOT SYSTEM, ROTORS, SPARK IGNITION, AND PYROTECHNIC STARTING PROCESS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1998/039559
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The proposed engine comprises a casing and pistons attached in pairs to the diametrically opposed sides of the disks. Said disks, which support pairs of pistons, are connected to paired cranks. Crank pins are disposed at opposite ends of the crank so that one of the leading pins alternatively engages with one groove of a slot while the other leading pin simultaneously disengages from the other groove of said slot. The casing comprises hollow canals for the gas to move from one individual piston chamber to another. The starting process of the engine entails the initiation of movement by the pistons and the compression of the working medium by the gas gage pressure energy from the exhausted pyrotechnic charge.
