Abstract:
A battery system may comprise: multiple battery packs each including multiple battery banks; and a battery management system that calculates multiple internal resistance (DCIR) values of the multiple battery banks in each of the multiple battery packs, corrects a first internal resistance value of a battery bank in a predetermined first position in each battery pack, and diagnoses whether the battery bank in the first position is abnormal, on the basis of the corrected first internal resistance value. Each of the multiple battery banks comprises multiple battery cells connected in parallel, and the first position may be the same in each of the multiple battery packs.
