The present specification relates to an IoT communication system supporting connection between devices. This specification discloses an IoT device comprising: a connection unit configured to be connected to a sensor module; a processor for performing data communication with the sensor module by means of the connection unit; device memory in which data read from the sensor module through the data communication is stored; and a communication module for wirelessly transmitting the data stored in the device memory. By connecting an existing sensor module, which does not have a communication function, with an IoT device which has a communication function, and supporting a standardized protocol between the sensor module and IoT device, a cost effective IoT communication system can be constructed in which the IoT device can relay and transmit data of the sensor module.
