Description:

AN INTERVAL STOP TAP

Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a single piece interval stop tap with one water inlet and two water outlets, used as a flush tank and a cleansing stop cock, where water input is realized from one single line through an inlet and where there is a separate flush tank outlet and a cleansing outlet on the same body.

Background of the Invention

Flush tanks are the parts where the water received from the clean water inlet is stored. Hygiene is achieved by flushing the clean water received from the flush tank into the toilet with pressure by means of the siphon after using the toilet. Flush tank - siphon systems are arrangements which work with pressing and flushing system. Cleansing stop cocks are presented as a more hygienic alternative of using toilet paper. Toilet paper cannot provide sufficient cleaning and may cause many diseases. The pathogens which are the causes of most of the urinary infections spread through use of toilet paper. Cleansing the sensitive areas with water minimizes the said negative effects. For that reason cleansing stop cocks are used for personal cleansing.

In the state of the art, separate stop cocks are used for flush tank and cleansing stop cocks.

The Japanese patent application No. JP 10001998 discloses a sanitary mechanism in which the flush tank and cleansing stop cocks are combined. Water flow is simplified without using any special tool or equipment.

In the Japanese patent application No. JP9140618, another state of the art, a cleansing stop cock is disclosed which is made plainer with a pipe connected to

the flush tank and whose assembly is thus simplified. The cleansing stop cock is arranged within the toilet from the front of the water closet and is adjusted manually.

In the Japanese patent application No. JP10046650, which is another application within the state of the art, an invention which simplifies the pipe connections of the toilet is disclosed.

In another state of the art application, in the Japanese patent application No. JPl 1350555, a cleansing stop cock comprising two outflow paths is disclosed.

The Japanese patent application No. JP2000104880, another application, discloses an invention in which the cleansing stop cock and the flush tank stop cock are arranged on the same line.

However, within the state of the art, one single handle is used to adjust the flow rate of the flush tank and cleansing stop cocks. In this case, when the water flow into the flush tank is cut, water cannot be supplied to the cleansing stop cock either. Supplying water to only one division is impossible.

Even though there are one single inlet and two outlets in the taps, water flow rates can not be adjusted independent from each other.

Summary of the Invention

The objective of the present invention is to realize an interval stop tap comprising a single water inlet and two water outlets for cleansing and flush tank.

Another objective of the invention is to realize a single interval stop tap which fulfills the function of two interval stop taps.

A further objective of the invention is to realize an interval stop tap wherein when the water in the portion leading to the flush tank is cut, the portion leading to the cleansing can be used; and when the water in the portion leading to the cleansing is cut, the portion leading to the flush tank can be used.

Another aim of the invention is to realize an interval stop tap which provides plainness in the installation by using one single interval stop tap, and provides convenience to the user with its use in places where there is not enough space.

Another objective of the invention is to realize an interval stop tap which brings cost advantage by using a single interval stop tap in place of two interval stop taps.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The interval stop tap realized to fulfill the objectives of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figures, in which;

Figure 1 is the view of the interval stop tap.

The parts shown in the figure are numbered individually where the numbers refer to the following:

1. Interval stop tap 2. Inlet

3. Body

4. Flush tank stop cock handle

5. Cleansing stop cock handle

6. Flush tank outlet 7. Cleansing outlet

The inventive interval stop tap (1) basically comprises an inlet (2) through which water enters and a body (3) through which water flows, and it is characterized with a flush tank outlet (6) and a cleansing outlet (7) disposed on the said single body (3) and a flush tank stop cock handle (4) and a cleansing stop cock handle (5), by which flow rates can be adjusted individually.

The interval stop tap (1) realized to fulfill the objectives of the invention is designed so as to realize the single water inlet and two water outlets. Water is received from the inlet (2) into the interval stop tap (1). Output of the water flowing through the body (3) is provided by means of the flush tank outlet (6) or the cleansing outlet (7). The water flow leading to the cleansing outlet (7) is adjusted by the cleansing stop cock handle (5) and the water flow leading to the flush tank outlet (6) is adjusted by the flush tank stop cock handle (4).

The flush tank outlet (6) and the cleansing outlet (7) are disposed parallel to each other on the interval stop tap (1). When the water leading to the flush tank outlet (6) is cut, water can be supplied to the cleansing outlet (7). The reason of this is that the flush tank outlet (6) and the cleansing outlet (7) are separate from each other and use two different stop cock handles to adjust the flow rate. The flush tank (4) and the cleansing stop cock handles (5) function independent from each other.

The inventive interval stop tap (1) fulfills the function of two taps. For that reason, plainness is provided in the installation and ease in assembly thereof. Using one single interval stop tap (1) in place of two interval stop taps (1) brings advantages also in terms of cost. Two separate taps occupy more space in terms of volume. A single interval stop tap (1) provides great convenience to the user by its use in places where there is not enough space.

Within the framework of the basic principles described herein, development of various embodiments of the invention is possible. The inventive interval stop tap

(1) cannot be limited with the examples provided above to facilitate understanding of the subject. The invention is essentially according to the claims.
