Abstract:

Provided is an intraocular lens insertion tool 1 for inserting, into an eye, an intraocular lens 7 that has an optical unit 8 and a pair of support parts 9a, 9b extending from the optical unit 8, wherein the intraocular lens insertion tool 1 is provided with: an insertion tool body 2 provided with a lens arrangement part 6 on which the intraocular lens 7 is arranged; a holding part 14 for holding the distal-end part of a forward support part 9a disposed forward from the lens arrangement part 6 among the pair of support parts 9a, 9b; and guide mechanisms (11c, 14a) for guiding the optical unit 8 such that, when the intraocular lens 7 is extruded by an extrusion member 5, the intraocular lens 7 passes underneath the holding part 14, the guide mechanisms (11c, 14a) causing the optical unit 8 to be displaced downward relative to the forward support part 9a held by the holding part 14.
