Abstract:
Provided is technology such that the appropriate alteration of the focal point of intraocularly disposed lenses is possible even if the movement of the ciliary body is insufficient due to aging and the like. An embodiment of the intraocular lens system has a lens, a conversion means, and a drive means. The lens is disposed within the lens capsule and is configured in a manner such that the alteration of at least the focal distance is possible. The conversion means is disposed within the lens capsule, allows the passage of a portion of entering light, and converts the energy of another portion of the light to electrical energy. The drive means is disposed in the lens capsule, operates by receiving electrical energy obtained by the conversion means, and is used for altering the focal distance of the lens.
