This inventory control system (1) for work machines (2) is provided with: a management server (5) that performs inventory control for work machines (2) in a work-machine exhibition area (E), which is one type of storage location; storage-location terminals (6), each of which notifies the management server (5) of the inventory status of work machines (2) at a storage location (E) for work machines (2); and work-machine wireless terminals (7), each of which is provided in a work machine (2) and transmits information on said work machine (2) to the management server (5) over a network. The management server (5) is provided with: an inventory-status computation means (40) that determines the inventory status of work machines (2) at each storage location (E) on the basis of information on said work machines (2) received from the work-machine wireless terminals (7); and an inventory-status cross-check means (41) that cross-checks notified inventory statuses transmitted by the storage-location terminals (6) with the computed inventory statuses. The present invention thus allows accurate inventory control of work machines (2) at storage locations (E) that store work machines (2).
