Abstract:
An inverter device (1) equipped with a three-level circuit (10), which has first through fourth switch elements (S1-S4) connected in series and a first charging/discharging capacitor (Cf1), and which outputs three level potentials by switching the first through fourth switch elements (S1-S4). In the three-level circuit (10) the respective gates, drains, and sources of the first through fourth switch elements (S1-S4) are set in the same direction on a substrate, and their respective sources are positioned on a single line. The first charging/discharging capacitor (Cf1) has a length equal to the interval between the connecting point of the first switch element (S1) and the second switch element (S2) and the connecting point of the third switch element (S3) and the fourth switch element (S4), and is connected to these connecting points. Thus, it is possible to provide an inverter device with which a higher level of output can be obtained without increasing the size of the circuit.
