Abstract:
In order to reduce damage to switching elements when the switching elements are turned off in response to the generation of overcurrent, this inverter device, which is equipped with an inverter circuit that converts power between direct-current power and multiple phases of alternating-current power, is further equipped with: a drive circuit 20 that transmits drive signals to each of multiple switching elements 3 constituting the inverter circuit; and a current detection circuit 26 that detects the current flowing in each of the switching elements 3. The drive circuit 20 is equipped with a soft-turnoff circuit 23 that transmits the drive signals via a delay resistor Rs and turns off the switching elements 3 when the current detected by the current detection circuit 26 is equal to or greater than a predetermined overcurrent threshold value. The soft-turnoff circuit 23 is equipped with a capacitor Cs connected in parallel with the delay resistor Rs.
