Abstract:
A pulse width modulator (60) generates a PWM signal Vpwm whose duty ratio is feedback-controlled so that a detection voltage Vdet based on current of the secondary side coil of a transformer approaches a reference voltage Vref. According to the PWM signal Vpwm outputted from the pulse width modulator (60), a logic controller (70) controls switching of current of the primary side coil of the transformer. A first protection circuit (50) detects a circuit abnormality of an inverter (100). If the circuit abnormality continues for a predetermined abnormality detection time Ta, the first protection circuit (50) stops switching control of the inverter (100). A second protection circuit (40) monitors feedback voltage Vfb based on the output voltage of the inverter. When the feedback voltage Vfb is lower than a predetermined threshold voltage Vth2, the second protection circuit (40) lowers the reference voltage Vref and sets the abnormality detection time Ta shorter.
