Abstract:
Provided is an ion generating apparatus which distributes ions in a room with a desirable concentration. The ion generating apparatus is provided with an ion generating apparatus main body (100) which emits ions into the air, and ion quantity detectors (91, 92, 93, 94), each of which detects the quantity of ions emitted in the air. The ion generating apparatus main body (100) includes a positive ion generating unit (61), a negative ion generating unit (62), and an ion emitting port (73) from which the ions generated by means of the positive ion generating unit (61) and the negative ion generating unit (62) are emitted into the air. The ion quantity detectors (91, 92, 93, 94) are disposed by being spaced apart from the ion generating apparatus main body (100). The ion quantity detectors (91, 92, 93, 94) are disposed by being spaced apart from each other. The ion generating apparatus is also provided with a rotating table (80) which changes the emitting direction of ions to be emitted from the ion emitting port (73) into the air, based on the ion quantities detected by means of the ion quantity detectors (91, 92, 93, 94), respectively.
