Abstract:
Provided are an ion generation device and an air purification device which efficiently diffuse ions into a living space using wind generated by an air blower. Specifically disclosed is an ion generation device wherein in a casing provided with an inflow port through which air can flow in and an outflow port through which the air can flow out, an air duct connecting the inflow port and the outflow port, and an ion generator for emitting ions into the air duct are provided. The casing has an inclined wind guide surface and a mounting surface forming an acute angle with the wind guide surface as outer surfaces, and is provided with the inflow port on the side, on which the distance from the mounting surface is short, of the wind guide surface, provided with a first outflow port on the side, on which the distance from the mounting surface is long, of the wind guide surface, provided with a second outflow port in a casing portion leading from the end of the wind guide surface on the side on which the first outflow port is provided to the mounting surface, and provided with a guide portion for leading part of air going from the inflow port to the second outflow port to the first outflow port within the air duct.
