Abstract:
This ion generator is provided with: a reference electrode (30); a discharge electrode (10) which is arranged at a distance from the reference electrode; and a power supply (40) which applies a voltage between the discharge electrode and the reference electrode, thereby causing the discharge electrode to generate a corona discharge. This ion generator produces ions by causing the discharge electrode to generate the corona discharge. This ion generator is also provided with an electrode (20) for arc, which is arranged at a distance from the reference electrode, and causes the electrode for arc to generate an arc discharge more preferentially than the discharge electrode.
