Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an inexpensive ion sensor catalyst, an ion sensor, and a quantification method, said ion sensor catalyst: being capable of detecting hydrogen phosphate ions in water and of determining the hydrogen phosphate ion concentration from the oxidation current density thereof; having a higher detection sensitivity than conventional ion sensor catalysts; being capable of maintaining a high detection sensitivity across a wide hydrogen phosphate ion concentration range and having a proportional relationship between the concentration and the oxidation current density, thereby being capable of accurate concentration determination regardless of the concentration range; reaching a steady oxidation current value in a short time and the determining the current density in a short time, therefore taking a short time until hydrogen phosphate ions are quantified; and repeatedly and stably responding to oxidation of hydrogen phosphate ions. In order to solve this problem, this ion sensor catalyst electrochemically oxidizes hydrogen phosphate ions in water and is characterized by including a mixed oxide of ruthenium oxide and tantalum oxide.
