Abstract:
An ion suppressor (1) is provided with ion exchange membranes (41, 43) between a pair of electrodes (21, 23). Regeneration liquid channels (71, 73) are provided in spaces between the electrodes and the ion exchange membranes, and an eluent channel (75) is provided between the ion exchange membranes. The detection sensitivity of ions to be measured can be improved by suppressing ion re-exchange in an eluent on the downstream side of the eluent channel. For example, since the current amount on the downstream side of the eluent channel is increased by forming the eluent channel so as to be a folded structure, ion retention is suppressed, and thereby ion re-exchange in the eluent can be suppressed.
