Abstract:
An ionization device disposed in an ionization chamber separated from an analysis chamber by a partition wall having an ion introduction opening, the ionization device comprising an electrospray ionization probe 111 that is disposed such that the spray axis thereof is orthogonal to the central axis of the ion introduction opening, charges a liquid sample, and sprays the liquid sample as charged droplets, and a heated gas supply mechanism that blows heated gas onto a position that is between the distal end of the electrospray ionization probe and the point of intersection X between the spray axis and the central axis at least at a prescribed distance from the distal end.
