Abstract:
The object is to apply a power from an electrode to a drug-carrying section through
an ionic liquid. Thus, disclosed is an iontophoresis apparatus which can prevent
the generation of any gas or any undesirable ion during power distribution by
selecting the anion constituting the ionic liquid from PF6

a hydrogen sulfate ion, bis-trifluoroalkylsulfonyl-imide and trifluoromethanesulfonate
and selecting the cation constituting the ionic liquid from an imidazolium derivative,

or a tetraalkylammonium derivative; or an iontophoresis apparatus which can
further prevent the degeneration of an ion of a drug which may be caused by the electrode
reaction.
