Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cationic iridium phosphorescent compound which can be dissolved in an aqueous solution since a water-soluble phosphor-containing heterocycle binds to iridium metal, particularly PTA (l,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane) which binds to iridium metal. The present invention can provide an organic electroluminescent device having improved characteristics, such as luminance efficiency, driving voltage, lifespan, and color purity, by applying the iridium (III) complex compounds as a dopant material of a luminescent layer.
