Abstract:
An iron adsorption or absorption agent with an active ingredient that is a yeast treated with alcohol is used to address the need to provide an iron adsorption or absorption agent which can be used to remove iron content when producing beverages such as fruit juice beverages or alcoholic beverages, and to provide a method of using an iron adsorption or absorption agent to effectively remove iron content from a production starting material solution in situations such as the production process of fruit juice beverages, alcoholic beverages, etc. Moreover, the present invention includes a method of removing iron content from a solution by utilizing said iron adsorption or absorption agent and bringing said iron adsorption or absorption agent into contact with the solution containing iron. Said method is applicable to the manufacture of fruit juice beverages, alcoholic beverages, etc, and does not influence the original taste, etc, of the products. Moreover, the method is inexpensive and makes it possible to remove deleterious iron content from products.
