Abstract:
An iron zinc battery which is provided with a positive electrode 101 that contains iron oxyhydroxide, a negative electrode 103 that contains zinc, and an aqueous electrolyte solution 102 that is arranged between the positive electrode 101 and the negative electrode 103. With respect to this iron zinc battery, the aqueous electrolyte solution 102 contains zinc chloride (ZnCl2), and the weight of the zinc chloride (ZnCl2) is not less than the weight of the water (H2O) contained in the aqueous electrolyte solution 102.
