Abstract:
The disclosed circuit, which transmits power while keeping an input side and an output side isolated from each other, provides increased reliability by detecting switching-element failures with a low-cost configuration. Said isolating circuit for power transmission (101) is provided with: an input switch unit (21) that contains switches (Z1 and Z2) and supplies, to a first electricity-storage element (C1), power received at the first terminal (T1) of one switch (Z1) and the first terminal (T3) of the other switch (Z2); an output switch unit (22) that contains switches (Z3 and Z4) and supplies the power stored in the first electricity-storage element (C1) to a second electricity-storage element (C2); and a control unit (14) for detecting failures in the first through fourth switch elements (Z1 to Z4) on the basis of the voltage across the first electricity-storage element (C1), detected by a first voltage detection unit (11), and the voltage across the second electricity-storage element (C2), detected by a second voltage detection unit (12).
