Abstract:
In the development of a vehicle component (12), provision may be made for said component to be tested during a test drive. Thus, the behaviour of the vehicle component (12) in the event of failure of a sensor (16), for example, can be tested. The aim of the invention is to enable systematic checking of a mode of operation of a vehicle component (12). The isolation adapter (10) according to the invention comprises a terminal (22) for the vehicle component (12) and a switching device (26) that has a plurality of switch contacts (31 to 35) to which a respective test circuit (36, F1, F2, P1, P2, Q, 18, 20) can be connected. An electrical connection between the terminal (22) and at least one of the switch contacts (31 to 35) can be produced by switching the switching means (26). Even during switching, there is always an electrical connection to at least one of the switch contacts (31 to 35) present. The isolation adapter (10) may also have a display unit (50, 52) that mechanically (56) detects a switching position of the switching device (26).
